Join us for our November Members Meeting to get an update on what is happening at the museum. Then stay to hear Meghan Cameron presentation, Our Local Angels of Mercy: Insights into the lives and service of two local nursing sisters during the Great War.
Meghan E. Cameron, a History and Civics teacher at B.C.I., will be examining the key role of nursing sisters from the local area who were part of the Great War. Ms. Cameron will give a brief overview of the history of nursing sisters in Canada’s military and then explore the specific stories of Annie Hartley and Katherine Maud Macdonald, who among the 32 nursing sisters from this area who enlisted during the Great War.
